Police are investigating after a 78-year-old man was found shot inside a home in Upper Moreland.

UPPER MORELAND, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police sources tell Action News that the shooting in Upper Moreland, Montgomery County on Thursday morning was an apparent suicide attempt.

Officers were called to the 2800 block of Edge Hill Road around 10:10 a.m. Thursday.

There, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was rushed to the hospital in an unknown condition.

However, sources said the man was still alive by Thursday afternoon.
