A teenager was shot while sitting in a car.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot while sitting in a car on a North Philadelphia street.

The shooting happened on the 1000 block of West Tioga Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the teen was sitting in the back seat of a BMW when another car pulled alongside and someone in that car opened fire.

The wounded teen was able to tell the driver that he was shot in the head.

The driver of the BMW took the teen to Temple University Hospital.

Two windows on the driver's side of the BMW were shattered by the bullets.

No arrests have been made.
