SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A prayer vigil was held Thursday night near the scene of a stabbing spree that left one man dead and two injured last week in Southwest Philadelphia.

State Rep. Joanna McClinton and community activist Paul Moore led the vigil.

It took place on the same block where a man with a lengthy criminal history stabbed three strangers, fatally injuring one.

People who attended the vigil called for an end to violence, and prayed the victim's family finds peace.
