Woman shot at Wilmington office building

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a woman was found shot at an office building in Wilmington, Delaware.

Officers were called to the West Center Village Rental Community in 600 block of West 6th Street for a shooting investigation around 9:10 a.m. Monday.

There they found a 64-year-old woman, who works in the building, suffering a gunshot wound to her upper left leg area.

The victim, identified by co-workers at Linda Fulmer, was shot after the suspect walked through the doors.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say a possible suspect, described a tall black male with a thin build and wearing dark clothing, fled the area before officers arrived.

A surveillance image of the suspected gunman was released on Monday afternoon.
