A Rhode Island man who weighs just under 800 pounds says he was kicked out of the hospital for ordering a pizza.
33-year-old Steven Assanti says his eating addiction is the problem.
He is now staying in the trunk of his father's SUV.
Assanti had been getting help at Rhode Island hospital over the last 80 days and lost twenty pounds.
But, Assanti violated his care plan by ordering pizza, and he says the hospital told him he could no longer stay.
"I was supposed to stay there and lose all my weight and get down to 550, to get the gastric bypass. That was their plan," said Assanti.
A spokesperson for the hospital says it cannot comment about a patient's treatment.
Assanti's father is now looking for another healthcare facility to help his son.
