8-year-old girl welds patriotic flag art for veterans

An 8-year old in California may not be old enough to vote in this election, but she is still showing off her patriotism.

Kayla Fields is showing her love of country in her own way - by welding a flag made from metal.

She just learned how to weld last year through her 4H program and she has been auctioning off her flag art as a way to honor the nation's veterans including her father and grandfathers.

"I would like to thank them for their service and for their dedication serving our community, our country and our world," she said.

Kayla says when she grows up, she'd like to be a welder for the U.S. Navy.
