ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the 19-year-old man shot and killed just steps away from Allentown City Hall.

Parris Lane was shot in the parking lot of Hamilton Tower, a half block from the government building.

Police say the gunfire rang out at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrived to find Lane had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Allentown Police and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Homicide Task Force are investigating.
