Police: Boy, 7, reports abduction attempt in Quakertown

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a 7-year-old boy reported an abduction attempt in Quakertown, Bucks County.

Officers were called to the unit block of Elm Street just before 7 a.m. Friday.

The child said he went outside his home to ride his bicycle when a man jumped out from behind a bush and ran toward him, saying "Hi little boy."

The man attempted to grab him, the boy told police. He ran to Neidig Elementary School where he was later found by his mother, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, with a thin build and a buzz cut. He also talked with a raspy voice, the boy said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black pullover sweatshirt, black jeans and blue sneakers.
