Action News helps woman find lost dog

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Cherry Hill woman is celebrating the safe return of her beloved pet.

Kathy Bush was desperately searching for her dog, Lilly, after she got away during the storms Tuesday night without her collar.

Action News reporter Nora Muchanic spotted the "missing" poster and mentioned it during Action News at 4 on Wednesday.

It turned out a woman who lived just blocks away was keeping the dog safe.

Once she saw Nora's report she was able to bring Lilly home.

A very grateful Kathy had this message for her dog's savior.

"Thank you for taking care of her, thank you for loving her, and thank you for returning her, most of all," Bush said.

Kathy says her neighbors even took Lilly to the groomer and to the vet for a check-up.
