CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a thief who held up a bank in Center City Philadelphia.

It happened at 2:10 p.m. Monday at the Citizens Bank branch near 12th and Market streets

Investigators say he walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller, then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police released the following description:

The subject is described as a black male in his 40s, approximately 5'2"-5'5" tall, medium build, with a scruffy beard and some patches of lighter skin on his face. He was wearing a black puffer vest over a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a gray and black baseball cap. This subject is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.

Police say there is a reward for information leading to this subject's capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
