Body pulled from Schuylkill River in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police have pulled a body from the Schuylkill River Sunday afternoon.

It happened along the river near Market Street on the University City side.

Officers were called to the area around 3 p.m. for a person in the river.

The body was found wedged between rocks and the wall a short time later.

The victim appears to be a man in his 40s.

No word on how the victim died or ended up in the water.
