HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- Patrons at a Hunting Park Burger King were shocked this afternoon when they looked up and saw a driver slamming into cars in the parking lot.

Some witnesses believe the man was high on drugs when he barreled through, damaging at least nine cars.

"I was worried about the car, and little kids because this guy was crazy," said Charlie Smith of Juniata.

Burger King diners looked up in horror as the driver hit multiple cars tin the parking lot on Front and Erie.

The driver hit the corner of the restaurant, leaving his front bumper behind while he jumped curbs and hit vehicles head on and in reverse.

Owners of the damaged vehicles tried to stop him as he reversed out and drove down Front Street.

"We were chasing him to get his license plate and he hit another four cars," said Jazmine Gonzalez of Feltonville.

The driver's path of destruction continued as he allegedly hit even more cars on Front and Tioga.

A photo snapped by a witness shows first responders tending to a man who witnesses identify as the driver.

All of the damaged vehicles, including the vehicle of the driver, have been towed.

The Burger King sustained superficial damages, and remains open.

Police have not yet released what charges the driver may face.
