Thomas Edison High School evacuated after fire

HUNTING PARK -- Thomas Edison High School in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia was evacuated on Friday afternoon because of a fire.

The fire was reported inside a bathroom around 12:30 p.m. inside the school on the 100 block of West Luzerne Street.

Firefighters arrived and quickly put out the flames.

No students were injured, and damaged to the building was minimal, official say.

Classes were dismissed for the day.
