Man beaten, robbed during Northeast Philadelphia home invasion

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for two men who broke into into a Northeast Philadelphia home and beat and robbed a man.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on the 7200 block of Revere Street in Mayfair.

Police say the victim is a private security guard. He was outside smoking when two armed robbers forced him inside.

The bandits used the guard's own handcuffs to tie him to the refrigerator, and then beat him.

The suspects stole $200, a bullet-proof vest and his TV before fleeing the scene.

The guard was treated for any injuries he had and released.
