CLEARWATER, Fla. (WPVI) -- Former Philadelphia Phillies Darren Daulton and Mike Schmidt had good news about their recent battles with cancer on Sunday.

Daulton made headlines in the summer of 2013 when he revealed a battle with brain cancer.

However, he tells Action News he has been given a clean bill of health.

"When the doctor walks in and opens the door and starts smiling then everything is cool," said Daulton.

Meanwhile, Mike Schmidt revealed that, during his battle with melanoma, doctors found seven cancerous spots on his brain and more on his lungs.

However, he has since been cleared of melanoma.

Schmidt also shared support for Daulton.

"I know how much the whole city and all of us love Darren but that's inspirational to anyone who might be in the same boat," said Schmidt.

Both Daulton and Schmidt are in Clearwater, Florida for Phillies' Spring Training.
