University of Pennsylvania grad student beaten, robbed
UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- A University of Pennsylvania graduate student was beaten and robbed in University City, police said.
Philadelphia police along with Penn police are searching for the two suspects seen on surveillance video.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. on the 400 block of South 43rd Street.
Police say the 26-year-old student was walking on the street when he was approached by two men. They say he was beaten and robbed him.
The victim suffered serious head injuries, including a fractured skull.
Police released surveillance video Tuesday of the suspects from later that night inside a convenience store.
The first suspect is described as black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, approximately 6', slim build, with a chin-length braided hair. He was wearing a black Michael Kors jacket, red t-shirt, ripped blue jeans, white sneakers and a Ferragamo belt.
The second suspect is described as black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, 5'6, slim build, with short cropped hair. He was wearing all black clothing with a distinct pattern on the front of his hooded sweatshirt.
