NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia's Prison system announced a new initiative Thursday to bring together families separated by incarceration.
Officials gathered at the Free Library of Philadelphia, a partner in the new program, to announce the details.
Using Library resources, families of prisoners will be able use face-to-face video conferencing, with the hopes that inmates can read to their kids.
The program will also provide certain former former inmates with access to library services.
