PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The second of three Philadelphia police officers wounded in a shooting over the weekend in the city's Wynnefield section was released from the hospital late Tuesday afternoon.
Fellow men and women in blue gathered at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center to show their support and celebrate the 43-year-old officer's recovery.
As the officer was wheeled out of the hospital, his sergeant, who was also shot on Saturday night and released Monday, was there to show his support.

Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel tells Action News this officer is from Italy.
He came to the United States 13 years ago and has been on the force for two years.
The officer was shot in the face, and Commissioner Bethel says he was millimeters away from having a different outcome.
"I saw his face and his injury, and I don't know who the doctor was, but they've got God's hands because he looked good," said Bethel. "He's in great spirits. They named him the Italian stallion or something. He's a phenomenal young man."
The officer was one of three officers shot in the Wynnefield section of the city on Saturday night, as they were responding to a call for a separate shooting incident.

Philadelphia Police say while on scene, the officers encountered a man who police say was not involved in the initial call.
He has been identified as 57-year-old Eric Franks.
Surveillance video shows Franks getting into a scuffle with the officers before pulling away, showing a handgun, and then opening fire.
Four officers returned fire, fatally shooting Franks, who has been described as a business owner, retired firefighter, and a former Marine.
The three officers who were shot were rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where two have since been released.
A third officer was shot in the hip. Commissioner Bethel says the hope is that he will be released later this week.
The investigation into what happened on Saturday night remains ongoing.
