UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- It's a done deal. The Upper Darby School District bought the shuttered Delaware County Memorial Hospital.
A judge signed the deal with Prospect Medical Holdings for $600,000.

The hospital shut down in November of 2022.
The district wants to tear down the building and use the property for future educational needs, like a possible STEAM-focused extension of the high school campus.
This was a deal that had to be closed by August 13, or Prospect would have been able to abandon the property.
