Cancer survivor crafts her own cards for AtlantiCare patients & staff

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WPVI) -- At AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute Egg Harbor Township, patients can find a handmade card filled with love, crafted through shared experience.

Linda, also known as the "Card Lady," is a cancer survivor who delivers dozens of cards monthly.

Each one is given away for free, all to encourage current patients, and show gratitude to their staff who saved her life.

" I feel the patient's pain. I was in their shoes, so I know how they felt...I'm hoping that I'm giving them hope, because when I make it, I have them in mind. They don't have to know me. As long as I know they're taking it and enjoying it," said Linda Smolinski of Mays Landing, New Jersey.
