PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the suspect involved in a road rage shooting in the Parkside section of Philadelphia that left two people wounded.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of 42nd Street and Girard Avenue in the city's Parkside.
Police are looking for a bearded man in the silver Honda Civic.
The car has body damage to both front quarter panels, a missing passenger side front hub cap and a white vanity tag on the front bumper.
The victims, a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman, were last reported to be hospitalized in stable condition.
The gunfire happened during an outbreak of violence in Philadelphia on Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
In all, seven people were wounded in five separate shootings.
In addition to the road rage shooting, there were two shootings in West Philadelphia, one in Hunting Park and another in North Philadelphia.
All seven of the victims survived, though two are hospitalized in critical condition.
However, Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore says what happened overnight does not reflect the overall trends across Philadelphia.
"Our clearance rate is up from last year, which was up significantly from the last year, so we're having a lot of success using technology, our video to solve these cases, and we are hoping that all these from last night will be solved," he said.
According to the Action News Data Journalism Team, homicides have decreased 37 percent and shootings are down 32 percent over the past year.
Abdul-Kareem Al-Salafi from the Philadelphia Anti-Drug Anti-Violence Network says that while crime rates are moving in the right direction, he is still alarmed by the number of teenage perpetrators and victims.
"We speak to the mothers, or the parents, and watch them break down and something inside of us, the humanity in us, we break down with them," he said.
Anyone with information on any of these shootings can call or text Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
