New allegations for Chester Co. priest accused of sharing child porn on Instagram

WESTTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A suspended Catholic priest from Chester County is facing new allegations.

Mark Haynes was initially arrested in October on child pornography charges.

Prosecutors said Haynes set up an Instagram account and posed as an underage girl to share multiple pornographic images of children.

Now three former parishioners are claiming he sexually abused them in the 1990s.

Prosecutors are investigating and could bring additional charges.

The 55-year-old served at several parishes, most recently at Saints Simon and Jude Parish in Westtown Township.

Prosecutors are appealing to keep Haynes behind bars after a judge granted his release Tuesday.
