HARRINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The crowd at the Quillen Arena at the Delaware State Fairgrounds went wild for Donald Trump Friday, ready to hear the businessman from New York speak about jobs, the economy and the military.
"We're going to take our military, were going to make it so strong and so good. And hopefully we'll never have to use it," said Trump. "But nobody's going to play with us."
Hours before Trump even arrived, the line snaked around the fairgrounds, full of supporters hoping for a good seat.
"I want to hear him talk about the wall," said Ethel Tritapoe of Georgetown. "I want to hear him talk about what he plans to do with foreign policy."
"I think that it's really interesting to be a part of it. I think you can learn more from this than you can sitting in a classroom," said Kelly Reiff of Towson, Maryland.
"I'm just really excited to hear him talk. Because I've been waiting so long to hear him," said Patrick Reiff of Towson, Maryland.
According to a poll out this week, Trump has a strong lead among Delaware Republicans.
Poll results show 55 percent say they plan to vote for Trump. John Kasich is a distant second with 18 percent.
Delaware is a winner-take-all primary state, so all 16 delegates will go to the winner on Tuesday.
