Police: 2 men traveled to Delaware County to have sex with teens

Two men are accused of traveling to Delaware County from out-of-state in attempts to have sex with under-aged teenagers.

37-year-old Ralph Fisher is from Elkton, Maryland.

Authorities say he solicited who he thought was a 15-year-old boy but it turned out it was an undercover officer.

Fisher traveled to Delaware County to meet up with the teen, and was then arrested.

51-year-old George Smith is from Barberton, Ohio.

Officials say Smith made the 13-year-old victim believe he was a college student who had every intention of meeting up with her.

"He does admit to us that he is soliciting this 13-year-old, know she's a 13-year-old. She discloses that she's a 13-year-old and he encourages her," said Jack Whelan, Delaware County District Attorney.

Authorities went on to say that Smith and Fisher got a lot of personal information from their potential victims.

They say that parents need to be more vigilant about knowing who their children are talking to, especially online.
