Alicia Vitarelli was outside the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and spoke about the feeling that was in the air after Pope Francis delivered his homily during a Mass.
"Smiles on their faces, awe in their eyes, and also a sort of glow in their eyes as they come out to be that close to the Pontiff, and someone who is making it his mission to touch people's lives, not only with his actions, but his words," Alicia said.

Alicia also mentioned a moment when the pope touched a child on the head and the mother simultaneously cried.
"We all cried," Alicia said.
Alicia was referring to the crowd on the Ben Franklin Parkway. She said she never seen a crowd on the parkway that quiet.
"You could hear a pin drop. People had their hands in prayer. They were listening and holding on to every single word and every moment from this Mass," Alicia said.
