EXCLUSIVE: Heated road rage incident captured on camera in Houston

HOUSTON -- Angry motorists threw punches and rammed vehicles during a violent road rage incident in Houston, Texas Saturday morning.

The brawl erupted along FM 1960. Eyewitness David Dao said his daughter started recording the scene with her cellphone when they rolled up to the intersection at U.S. 290 and saw four people arguing.

The footage shows a man trying to calm down a woman who is arguing with another man, who is a passenger in a white car.

"When the white car proceeded forward, just a few inches, that aggravated the truck driver because he thought, 'Oh no you're not! You're not going in front of me,'" Dao explained. The truck then drove up several feet, nearly hitting the woman. She was a passenger in the truck but had remained outside the vehicle.

The woman is then seen going back to the white car and saying something to the passenger, who threw a drink at her. The video shows the truck driver coming back into view and kicking the white car's grille.

"I couldn't believe it. As soon as he kicked the grille, I was like, 'This is going down now,'" Dao said. "I was thinking this is going to be bad. At that time, I knew because there's physical damage now."

A brawl erupted as the driver and passenger from the white car chased after the driver of the truck and began punching him. The video shows the woman screaming and trying to break up the fight, but she is punched in the face in the melee.

Just as things calm down in the video and the truck driver and the woman get back into their vehicle, the truck speeds backward and slams into the white car. It then takes off on 290 West. The white car sped after them.

After witnessing this incident, Dao says drivers need to stay calm.

"It's not worth it. At the end of the day, how much further are you going to get?"

He says while the four people were fighting, they were so close to his car, that he remained stopped to block traffic to keep other drivers from hitting them. He also couldn't get out to break up the fight because his daughter was in the car. He says he told his daughter to start recording because they could be witnesses to something where people might need some help.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has no record of an accident reported, so it's not known what happened to the drivers once they took off.
