1 dead, 1 injured after car hits tree on Roosevelt Boulevard

OXFORD CIRCLE (WPVI) -- One person has died and another remains hospitalized after a crash on the Roosevelt Boulevard in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia.

It happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound lanes of the Boulevard near Pratt Street.

Police say the driver of a vehicle lost control in the northbound inner lanes and struck a tree.

Two victims were taken local hospitals where one later died.

There is no word on the second victim's condition.
