2 dead following wrong-way crash on Route 378 in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Two people have died after authorities say a car was going the wrong way on a Bethlehem road and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The collision happened on Pennsylvania 378 around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The southbound lanes of Route 378 near 8th Avenue were closed for hours for the accident investigation and cleanup. The lanes were reopened just before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities believe Kaelen Fausey, 24, of Lower Saucon Township, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when he crashed into another vehicle, driven by Edwin Arcelay, 27, of Bethlehem.

Both men died at the scene.

One of the vehicles burst into flames.

The crash remains under investigation.
