A small study shows physically active people, especially runners, have a higher risk of dental erosion.

A recent study shows physically active people, especially runners, have a higher risk of dental erosion.

Researchers say when you work out, you sweat and tend to breath out of your mouth.

Both can dehydrate you and dry up your saliva.

Saliva keeps your mouth clean and prevents bacterial build-up.

So researchers suggest you drink plenty of water, brush and floss your teeth regularly, and after you work out, chew a piece of sugar-free gum or have a piece of sugar-free candy.
