Police in Cherry Hill are asking people to be on the lookout for a fundraising scam that uses a local high school as bait.

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Cherry Hill are asking people to be on the lookout for a fundraising scam that uses a local high school as bait.

Camden County Catholic High School posted a copy of a fake letter asking people to donate to their special education department.

The misspelled note provides both an email address and a phone number, but it isn't legit.

Anyone with information on the people behind the scam should contact Cherry Hill police.
