CUMRU TWP., Pa. -- Authorities say a group of kayakers found a body in the Schuylkill River in Cumru Township, Berks County.
The discovery was made around 2:20 p.m. Saturday off Beagle Cub Lane.
Officials arrived on the scene and the body was pulled from the river.
The victim was found wearing blue jeans, socks, and a maroon and black Adidas sweat suit jacket with the words 'Pequea Valley Lady Braves' embroidered on the chest.
A last name was also embroidered and police determined that the jacket did not belong to the victim.
Upon locating the jacket's owner, investigators were given information they believe will lead them to the victim's identity.
Police say further investigation is necessary before a positive identification can be made.
No word on a cause of death. An autopsy will be performed Sunday.
