OLNEY (WPVI) -- A man was struck and killed by a train in the Olney section of Philadelphia.
The fatal accident happened around 9:45 a.m. just south of the Fern Rock Transportation Center.
Officials say a man in his 60s was walking on the tracks when he was struck by a SEPTA Regional Rail train.
The man was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The train was heading to the Philadelphia International Airport. There were 70 passengers on board, but none were injured.
Delays were reported while SEPTA officials safely took the passengers off the train and on to a bus.
