Man fatally shot in the head in Wynnefield

WYNNEFIELD (WPVI) -- A man was killed in a daytime shooting in Philadelphia's Wynnefield section.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the 5300 block of Hazelhurst Street.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No word on a motive or any possible suspects.

Police are investigating.

This afternoon around 2pm the philadelpha police were called out to the report of a shooting on the 5300 block of Hazelhurst st in the Wynnefield section of the city. When they arrived they found a 24 year old male shot in the head. He was transported to Presbyterian hospital and was pronounced dead around 2:15pm. No weapon recovered, no arrests. Homicide detectives are investigating.
