First annual Turkey Games

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) -- A local school district is using sports to help families out this holiday season.

These are the first annual Turkey Games.

A series of flag football games are being played by students from the Springfield School District.

Those who play have to donate 5 dollars or 5 canned goods.

The proceeds are a fundraiser for the Turkey Fund which are used to provide financial assistance to families living in the area.

The Turkey Games was the idea of recent Springfield High grad Alex Masino.
