KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia catholic school is paying it forward.
The staff at Visitation BVM School in Kensington says many of the students come from low-income families, and benefit greatly from the generosity of others every year.
So Wednesday, they wanted to return the favor.
All students were asked to donate to charity, and they stepped up, by contributing a total of 1 thousand dollars.
Wednesday morning, they split the funds between three organizations that support residents in need, in their community.
