PHILADELPHIA -- Flyers general manager Ron Hextall says forward Michael Raffl is fine after being helped to the locker room in the second period of a 3-2 shootout win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night.

Raffl took an elbow to the head from Rangers center Jarret Stoll and sustained an upper-body injury. He went to the bench, and a few moments later, play was stopped as he was helped going down the tunnel. Flyers players appeared concerned as Raffl exited.

Hextall says Raffl didn't go to the hospital and is doing better. It's not known if he'll miss any games.

Captain Claude Giroux described it as a "scary" situation. He added Raffl "looks good now."
