ARLINGTON, Texas -- Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill put himself in the headlines during the week with his comments regarding the Dallas Cowboys' history of choking, but he had no regrets after the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Cowboys on Sunday.

"It's a rivalry week," Grugier-Hill said. "I mean, I'm not gonna -- that's whatever."

Last Wednesday, Grugier-Hill started the trash talk by saying, "I mean, you look at Dallas' history, they always choke. So we'll go down there and make them choke."

The Cowboys were immediately aware of what Grugier-Hill said but did not put too much stock into the bulletin board material. When quarterback Dak Prescottwas asked about the comments at his midweek news conference, he offered up a, "Who?"

When Grugier-Hill's name was brought up after the game, Prescott let out another, "Who?" after walking off the podium.

It was a near-dream start for Grugier-Hill, who appeared to recover a fumble on the opening kickoff of the game, but the Cowboys maintained possession after a replay review.

"We confirmed that there was a fumble in the replay review," referee Clete Blakeman said in a pool report. "The second component of it is, "Was there a clear recovery? And that's just what we couldn't confirm with the angles we had."

Grugier-Hill was credited with eight tackles, three solo and five assists, as well as one special-teams' stop.

The reaction around the Cowboys' locker room to Grugier-Hill's comment was mixed.

"Talk is cheap," nose tackle Antwaun Woods said. "Tell 5-4 talk is cheap."

Said linebacker Jaylon Smith, "Oh, 54? The other 54? Yeah, that's a bummer."

DeMarcus Lawrence, who caused something of a stir leading into the Cowboys' game Nov. 29 against the New Orleans Saints, said it did not affect him. His mind was already on next week.

"Now that it's over, I'm still going to be honest -- no," Lawrence said when asked if the comment was motivating. "I was just telling you that a good team like that, that's what you're supposed to do to them. In order to be successful, that's what you've got to do. You've got to step on their throats. I don't feel like we did that to 100 percent today, stepping on their throats. So, Indianapolis, we're coming."
