Victim killed in head-on crash in Springfield identified

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police identified the person who was killed in a head-on crash that also injured three other people in Springfield, Bucks County.

The victim who died is identified as 25-year-old Albert Lazaro.

The crash happened around 5:30 Saturday afternoon in the 2900 block of Richlandtown Pike.

Authorities say 72-year-old Barbara Ann Ross was travelling southbound when her car went into the northbound lanes and struck Lazaro's vehicle.

The impact of the crash caused Ross' car to roll onto its side. She suffered minor injuries.

Lazaro, who was behind the wheel of the vehicle that was hit, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers who were inside his vehicle were hospitalized in critical condition.
