VIDEO: STOMP's exclusive 6abc performance

STOMP is coming to Philadelphia.

It's been described as explosive, provocative, witty and utterly unique.

The 8-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms.

The performers stopped by 6abc Monday morning for an exclusive session. They grabbed anything they could find in the studio, newsroom, and kitchen and created a show within minutes.

They say even if you've already seen STOMP, you should see it again since it's always changing.

"It keeps us fresh for our fans and our performers so we don't get bored ourselves, that's why I can do it for 18 years," Carlos Thomas said.

The performers say while they do make music with household items, there's more to the story of STOMP.

"There's a lot of theater involved. There are eight characters on stage. You get to follow your favorite character, see how they interact with each other, and how they relate," Alan Asuncion said.

You can catch STOMP at the Merriam Theater fom December 26th to the 31st.
