WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (WPVI) -- Suspicious powder forced the evacuated of the West Windsor Township Municipal Building Thursday morning.
West Windsor police were called to the building around 8:45 a.m. after powder was discovered in a mail envelope.
As a precaution, the building was evacuated and closed off to the public.
West Windsor Emergency Services Special Operations and Hazmat Unit arrived moments later and conducted a full investigation.
A bomb dog from the Render Safe Task Force was also brought in.
The substance was found to be harmless.
All employees were allowed back to work and the building was reopened to the public.
The investigation continues.
