FBI Special Agent Wayne Jacobs told Action News that his agency has had success prosecuting offenders who engage in swatting.
An Indiana high school student has been accused of plotting a mass shooting at a school near Indianapolis on Valentine's Day, local police said Thursday.
According to court documents, the incident started when the teacher allegedly showed up at the school after already being placed on administrative leave for "erratic behavior."
A teacher on administrative leave was arrested in Philadelphia after allegedly making online threats to another school staff member in North Jersey.
Police say the child did not have any weapons at school and also did not have access to any weapons at home.
In a letter from school officials, they said the school was closed out of concern for the mental health of students and staff, not because they believed anyone was in danger.
