A Tampa reporter became part of the news after finding the missing child he was reporting on.

10-year-old Paul Ezekiel Fagan went missing from his Tampa home at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25. After an unsuccessful search to find the boy, Fagan's grandmother called the sheriff's office at 8:00 p.m. that same day.

ABC Action News reporter Cameron Polom was covering the story early morning on Friday, September 26. While walking through the neighborhood, Polom noticed a child sitting alone by a fence.

"I said, 'Have you been missing?' I said, 'Come here, buddy, and I just picked him up and I said would you mind if I lift you up?'" Polom said. "And I just said come with me, I just held his hand and walked him over to you guys. It's crazy," Polom said according to ABC Action News Tampa Bay.

Deputies in the area then walked Fagan up to his house, where his family was thrilled to see him safe and well. According to ABC Action News, Fagan has a mild learning disability, but this is the first instance the boy has gone missing.
