PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A crash in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section left homes and businesses without power early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when the tractor-trailer and a car were going the same way.
The big rig was traveling south on the 3900 block of Aramingo Avenue, and making a wide turn onto Wheatsheaf Lane.
Police say, the driver of the car, did not wait, and tried to make the same turn.
And, that's when the tractor-trailer and car collided, snapping a pole, and knocking out power.
The impact of the crash caused fuel from the truck to spill onto the roadway.
Crews restored the power a short time later.
Police say the car's driver is in the hospital, and will be cited for DUI.
