Biker collides with ambulance in Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A motorcyclist was injured in Newark, Delaware early Wednesday morning after colliding with an ambulance.

The crash happened around midnight on Elkton Road at Thorn Lane.

Police say the ambulance was responding to a call when the collision occurred.

The biker suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Elkton Road was closed at the scene for about four hours as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wreckage.
