Trenton police investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Saturday morning

TRENTON, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Trenton police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Officer are investigating a deadly shooting.

Officials say shots rang out on the 900 block of Brunswick Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say 41-year-old Dartanian Ames of Lawrence, New Jersey was shot multiple times across the body.

Authorities say medics rushed Ames to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he died a short time later.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
