ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- Police have arrested two men in a shooting at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
The shooting took place around 2:35 a.m. Sunday at the south tower valet of the casino.
Police say 25-year-old Xavier Smith of New York was found on Pacific Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound. Smith was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, in serious but stable condition.
With assistance from Tropicana security, two male suspects were identified through video surveillance.
Photographs of the two men were distributed to officers who were actively searching the area.
One suspect, 23-year-old Eugene Storm of Pennsylvania, was located and arrested on Albion Place.
Police say Storm had discarded a jacket that he was wearing. A loaded handgun was found in the jacket.
The second suspect, 30-year-old George Walker of New York, was arrested after he returned to the crime scene.
Both have been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.
In addition, Storm was also charged with possession of hollow-point ammunition.
Bail for each was set at $150,000.
