Thief caught on camera carrying TVs out of Walmart in Port Richmond

Philadelphia police are searching for a thief who was caught on surveillance stealing two TVs from Walmart in Port Richmond.

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a thief who was caught on camera stealing two TVs from a Walmart in the city's Port Richmond section.

The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the store on the 2200 block of Wheatsheaf Lane.

Surveillance video shows the suspect swiping two 32" Element LCD TVs from the display shelf.

The thief then carried the TVs out of the store through a rear fire exit and jumped into a waiting dark-colored Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with no tags.

Police describe the suspect as a black male with a medium complexion, hair braids and beard. He was wearing a light colored mechanic type shirt and black Dickie pants.
