DHL to experiment with self-driving technology

The delivery giant DHL plans to begin testing self-driving trucks next year.

The German company says it will equip some of its existing electric delivery trucks with the new self-driving equipment.

DHL also plans to experiment with self-driving trucks that follow drivers down the street, as they walk between deliveries to make them more efficient.

It's believed that self-driving technology will trigger a 7-trillion dollar market by the year 2050.
