NAACP issues travel advisory for American Airlines passengers

The NAACP has announced a travel advisory that warns African Americans they could be subject to discrimination when flying with American Airlines.

The organization cites a number of incidents that it describes as troublesome involving American Airlines staff and black customers.

"The series of recent incidents involve troublesome conduct by American Airlines and they suggest a corporate culture of racial insensitivity and possible racial bias on the part of American Airlines," the NAACP statement reads.

The airline has not yet responded to the travel advisory.
