PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Some little volunteers helped spruce up a playground in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia Thursday morning.

They painted flower pots and containers, as the adults did some other landscaping at Frank Glavin Memorial Playground.

But it wasn't all work.

The kids then got serious about playtime.

The swing set was full while others played games and did arts and crafts.

The City of Philadelphia received a $20,000 grant from Disney and The National Recreation and Park Association to renovate the Glavin Memorial Playground
